Charlene B. Krejci, D.D.S., M.S.D.
Dr. Charlene B. Krejci received her DDS degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio in 1984 and completed her Master of Science Degree in Dentistry along with her specialty certification in periodontics at Case Western Reserve University in 1986. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and the recipient of the prestigious Balint Orban Memorial Award. She has been in private practice since 1986, is an Associate Clinical Professor of Periodontics at Case Western Reserve University, and is on the staff of Meridia South Pointe Hospital.
Dr. Krejci is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the Greater Cleveland Dental Society, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and other professional organizations. She has published articles in professional journals and lectures frequently to dental and other health care professionals. Most recently, she was awarded the American Academy of Periodontology’s Educator Award for CWRU in recognition of outstanding tutoring and mentoring in periodontics.
In addition to her dental activities, Dr. Krejci is also a registered dietitian – having completed both undergraduate and graduate work in nutrition as well as a dietetic internship at University Hospitals. Prior to entering dental school, she was the Director of Nutritional Services at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Doctor Krejci enjoys spending time with her family, reading (whenever time allows!), and trying to perfect the art of juggling personal and professional activities.
Sasha B. Ross, D.M.D., M.S.
Sasha Ross grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where she graduated from Orange High School in 2000. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois as a chemistry major and anthropology minor in 2003. She then trained at Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) in Boston, Massachusetts where she earned her D.M.D. degree in 2008.
Immediately after HSDM, Sasha enrolled and earned her Certificate in Periodontics in the College of Dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in 2011. While at UIC, she also obtained a Masters of Oral Sciences. Her research has been presented at various international conferences and was published in Frontiers of Oral Biology. In 2012, Sasha earned her Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, which is the highest level of certification in the field of Periodontics.
Sasha served as President for the Ohio Academy of Periodontists during the 2018-2019 academic year. She just completed a 3-year term on the Board of Trustees for the Greater Cleveland Dental Society (GCDS) from 2013-2016. She served as a co-chair for the GCDS Women in Dentistry Dinner in 2013 and 2014. She is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and the Harvard Alumni Association of Cleveland. She is on the local Harvard admissions committee. She has lectured throughout Cleveland at venues not limited to University Hospitals AHUJA Medical Center, the Cleveland Clinic’s Wellness Institute, Ohio Dental Association and Case Western Reserve University’s College of Dentistry.
In her spare time, Sasha especially enjoys music, both performing (piano and voice) and attending concerts. She also relaxes through running, reading, and spending time with her family (lifelong residents of Cleveland) and friends. She is most excited with her husband Scott (Internist at University Hospitals), and kids Ethan, Emmett, and Norah.
Sasha has a deep passion for learning, teaching, and helping her patients, and is very excited to be a part of the Western Reserve Periodontics team!
